More Let it Go News!
Let It Go is Will’s most personal album to date with him experimenting with various genres from disco, soul and funk to orchestral chamber pop.

Says Will of the new album, ‘I tried to focus on what I do really well. I wanted to simplify. I concentrated on lyrics, melodies and voices; where the listener feels like they are in the room with the singer, you can really hear every last breath.’

He co-wrote the single, ‘Changes’ and the delicate title track, ‘Let It Go’ with Eg White as well as ‘I Won’t Give Up’, which was mixed by the Freemasons.

He says of the single, ‘Changes’, ‘This is one of my most personal songs. I was in a bit of a rut and I didn’t even know it. Writing about the changes I needed to make actually helped me get out of a situation where I felt trapped by my own actions. That really is songwriting as therapy!’

Will has also continued his partnership with long-time producer Steve Lipson on ‘Tell Me The Worst’ and ‘Love’ while other producers include Richard ‘Biff’ Stannard, Ash Howe, Mike Spencer (Queen, Jamiroquai, Kylie) and Robot Club (Massive Attack).

Shots from the Changes video
Will spent Friday, 1st August shooting the video for ‘Changes’ and you can check out exclusive shots below and over in the forum or online in the Sun and Heat today. Says Will, ‘This was probably the hardest video I’ve ever had to shoot. I ran up and down country lanes, was struck by lightening, set on fire and partially drowned.  It’s amazing what you’ll do for music!

‘One of these shots was towards the end of an extremely long day... I had already been forced to drink foul smelling soup, danced in a hay-filled barn with a wind machine on full power and now was being tortured by having to lie in freezing cold water with my head on rocks. I hope you all love the video!’

First showing will be channel 4 at 12.55pm on saturday 16 august!
